| Getting Started |
Logging In
NOTE: Inactive "Free" accounts which have not been used for 1 year are automatically deleted.
All sessions begin at the Login screen. Before you can use any of the XMail features you must choose a user name password in the "Create New Account" section of the opening page.
You will be asked to enter the verification word provided, which is to ensure a real person is creating the account and not an automated robot script.
Once you've filled in the required fields, click the "Proceed" button to access your "Inbox".
Users are allowed a maximum of three simultaneous active login sessions. When using the "Logout" button the session is terminated, otherwise the time out for inactive sessions is set for 30 minutes.
SSL Warning - Install the 128 bit encryption key from the link "Import SSL CA" on the main login page.
We strongly recommend login via SSL only for security purposes. Non SSL connections can be intercepted and read on public networks.

The Mailbox Listing The contents of your Inbox folder will be displayed immediately upon logging in. The Mailbox Listing shows the contents of each message's header (message status, date sent, sender, subject, and size). Each column has a heading. Clicking on the heading will cause the listing to be sorted by that column.
To view the contents of a message, click on the message's subject. You'll be taken to the Message screen.
Block unwanted SPAM by enabling XMail's "Whitelist" anti SPAM feature located in "/Preferences/Filters/Use Whitelist Anti-Spam". E-Mail messages will only be recieved from addresses included in your Contact Manager, otherwise an auto response verfication message will be returned to the sender as follows:
"This is an Auto Response for the message you sent to johndoe@x-mail.net. As an
unrecognized E-Mail address you are required to type the authorization word to
verify the authenticity of the message prior to acceptance. Please follow the link:
http://www.x-mail.net/enter_word.php?id=02f945e786a0utyututryry8910dbbe01e"
The link is to a page displaying a graphically distorted verification word which must be manually entered into a form, thus eliminating auto generated SPAM from computer programs and viruses.
Verified E-Mail addresses are automatically added to the Contact Manager.
Whitelist QueueWhitelist Queue mailbox is created by default when the Whitelist feature is activated allowing for list management. E-Mail messages are held for five days before being auto deleted.
Domain WhitelistAllow all E-Mail from specified domain names to pass through the Whitelist. The Domain Whitelist is managed in "/Preferences/Filters/"

The Compose Window allows you to set, among other things, the message recipient's address (who you're sending mail to), the message subject, and the message contents. Simply fill out the appropriate fields at the top of the window (only the To: address is required, but the Subject: is suggested) and type your message in the large lower field. Once you've completed entering your message, you may choose to Spell Check your message text. Once you're done composing your new message, click the "Send" button to send the message to the recipient.
Attachments: The maximum E-Mail size (the total of all attachments selected) is 20MB to external mail servers. The maximum E-Mail size to other XMail users is 50.0MB. When sending 50.0MB E-Mail messages the XMail user receiving the message must first be entered into the "To:" box, otherwise the 20MB limit will be imposed.
File uploads are complete when the file name appears in the "Compose" screen. Allow sufficient time for File uploads via dial-up modem.
All outgoing E-Mail must be done through the Web Browser/Compose Window, except for Premium XMail users having POP3 and SMTP services.
